Notes: Back on...Valentine's Day, actually, I wrote about four or five things for the Mystery Dungeon games. I figured I should start posting them already. And yes, this is pretty much my OTP for these games. Oh, spoilers if you haven't played past the halfway point of the game, of course.

Foreign FamiliarityThere's nothing more he can do for them now. He's helped them escape certain death, a gruesome painful death at Dusknoir's command. If they don't trust him now, after seeing all of this, then there's nothing more he can do for them.

And yet— he can't stop thinking about them. About her, to be precise, the one who didn't speak a word. While her partner accused him, she just— looked at him. Looked at him with those big, black eyes.

Even now, when he should be concentrating on his mission, on the mission he and his partner share, he can't forget about them. He can't shake away the sight of those eyes staring at him, asking him something he can't understand, let alone answer. Can't forget how familiar that look was, how when he looked back at her, he felt like he was at the home he never had.

He can't forget.

But there's nothing he can do for them.

Not when his partner is waiting for him to complete their mission.
