Title: From Another's Hands
Pairing(s): Looker/Dawn
Wordcount: 2380
Summary: It wasn't like she'd had much experience with toppling evil organizations either, back when she was ten. While hunting down a crime ring, Looker and Dawn infiltrate a masquerade.
Warning(s): There's an age difference, but all characters are legal, so. Vague mentions of possible cruelty to pokemon?
Disclaimer: I do not claim any ownership over Pokemon.
Notes: This was written for [community profile] pokeprompts's yearly Christmas exchange, because of course I couldn't let a year go by without participating. The person I wrote this for dropped out, though, so it ended up being a present for everyone. ♥ The pairing was chosen from a list that the original recipient provided, and the prompt was the following:

Hidden/secret identities (e.g. undercover as lovers, masquerade, anything you can think of!). I'd prefer the characters to not be in a relationship already.
I tried to make this clear in the fic itself, but to be clear, this takes place some years after the actual game, so Dawn is an adult.

might as well face it )

Title: Unclouded Skies
Pairing: Morty/Sabrina
Wordcount: 458
Summary: A brief conversation underneath the night sky.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon in any shape or form.
Notes: I've never written these characters before— well, other than a brief appearance by Sabrina in Scarves & Snowflakes— and I've never paid much attention to Morty at all, so I'm worrying a bit about characterization. This was written for [community profile] areyougame's current round, and the prompt in question was this:

Pokemon, Sabrina/Morty: precognition - You can see my future but not your own?

How could I resist? Crossposting to [community profile] areyougame, and perhaps [livejournal.com profile] pokefics as well.

Title: Scarves & Snowflakes
Pairing(s): Barry/Dawn, Erika/Sabrina, Flint/Volkner
Wordcount: 3400
Summary: Dawn knew that she and Barry would always be friends— and that maybe, one day they could be something more. She never considered another what if. Until now.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon in any shape or form.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] megageek for the [livejournal.com profile] pkmnficxchange.

last night I had a dream about you )

Title: Forever, And Everything In-Between
Pairing: Lucas/Barry/Dawn, Riley/Dawn
Summary: It takes her two weeks before she speaks to Riley about what brought her to Iron Island. Ten, twenty, and all the years in-between.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
Notes: This was written for the first round of [livejournal.com profile] pokeprompts's March Madness tournament. The prompt was the song 100 Years by Five For Fighting. I was specifically inspired by the part where it goes caught in between 10 and 20 and the way the whole song revolves around the age of fifteen, but other concepts from the song snuck in too while I was writing this, probably because I had it on repeat the whole time.

The numbers before each segment are the trio's ages, since this isn't in chronological order, although there is an order to it. And I think that's about all that I need to say. Enjoy!

there's never a wish better than this )

Title: moments through an hourglass
Pairing: Silver/Kotone, Silver/Green, heavily hinted Red/Green
Summary: For three years, Kotone writes and Silver waits and Green listens.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon in any shape or form.
Notes: So, I just remembered that I haven't posted this here yet, which is Not Good. This is the fic that I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] pokeprompts's Christmas fic exchange. My recipient was [livejournal.com profile] ainbthech, and this is what was requested:
Pairings/Characters: My favorite pairing is Kotone/Silver, though I usually prefer queer things. I'm not sure why Silver is allowed to be straight in my head when I don't extend this privilege to people I actually know. Also, everything is better with Gary Oak. Or Cynthia.
Acceptable Rating: G to NC-17 is fine, although I'm not looking for porn.
Prompt: So my ideaaaallll (and what I keep meaning to write but the outline I have is novel-length and I do not have the time) is Kotone and Silver in a long-distance relationship writing letters back and forth while she's doing Champion-type activities and he's off training/researching/brooding. Gender role angst is good! Negotiated non-monogamy is awesome! If you can work in a vegan/animal rights angle I will love you forever, and in general if you're like "Kotone/Silver god you and every other fangirl" then anything with a pokemon rightsy slant to it is likely to make me happy.
Don't Want: No extreme violence please, no abusive relationships without resolution, and also no Gen V plot spoilers --- I'm playing through it super slowly and may not be done by then.

I tried to get as much of that as possible in this, and then it...sort of ballooned into this. I'm actually pretty proud of this. I dedicated all of two days, plus some of third, to writing this and doing nothing else. I can't remember the last time I was so enveloped into a fic. I was even having dreams about this universe for weeks afterwards. XD I also experimented with a few things that I've never done before— the biggest of which was writing from a male point of view. I've done it for drabbles & such before, but for nothing of this length, and I'm kind of proud of how it came out. At the time of writing this, I also had never written any of these characters before. Not a single one that was shown in here. That led to quite a bit of panicking about characterization, but, again, I am rather happy with the result. Yes, there are plenty of things I wish I had had time to expand on, but for what it's worth, I'm happy, and I'm glad that [livejournal.com profile] ainbthech seems to be happy with this as well, judging by the comments left on the Secret Santa version of this post. Finally, writing this made me ship Silver/Green, which is a result that I am most definitely NOT displeased with.

I ended up writing a long commentary about this fic, which I posted here. I suggest you read the fic first and then the commentary if you're interested, since it spoils the whole fic.

Title: Kidnapped Princesses & Tardy Heroes
Friendship(s): Leaf&Dawn
Pairing(s): Red/Green, hints of Barry/Dawn
Summary: Dawn had always pictured Leaf as a frail, weepy kind of girl who couldn't protect herself from a blade of grass. The girl before her? Was nothing like that.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
Notes: So, a week or two ago I realized that I haven't written a single thing for my [livejournal.com profile] au_bingo card. I realized that this was a grievous error that must be rectified, and I immediately sat down and plotted out which line bingos I would do, and then plotted out specific stories. So, now I have about fifteen stories to write, because the plotbunnies kept coming, for six different fandoms. Only two of those have been written so far, though, and this is the first of them to be posted.

I'm not exactly happy with how this turned out, but I do like the universe I made, so there might be more written in it later. Crossposting to [livejournal.com profile] au_bingo once I get a line bingo, and also to [livejournal.com profile] pokegamefic once someone else posts there so I don't feel like a freak having two posts in a row. Oh, and this was written for the prompt Fantasy & Supernatural: Sword and Sorcery.

Title: a very merry christmas
Pairing: Red/Green
Friendships: Red+Leaf+Green, Gold(Hibiki)+Silver+Kotone
Summary: When Leaf first told him that she put Red in charge of planning their annual holiday get-together, Green had thought that she had finally snapped.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon in any shape or form.
Notes: So, I was thinking last night that it's a damn shame that I don't have anything Christmas-y to post on Christmas. And then I looked at the background I've had the last few weeks and was struck with inspiration. And then this came out. It could be a lot better, I'll be the first to admit, but I want to post it on Christmas so it'll have to do for now. (Also, title is terrible, ripped off from a Christmas carol, has barely anything to do with the story, and will be changed as soon as I can think of something better. Not much better, but still better! And I need to stop making the first sentence of my fic into my summary. And yeah.)

This was originally meant to be gen, just full of friendshippy happiness, and then Red/Green had to sneak its way into there and ruin everything. Sigh. Crossposting this to [livejournal.com profile] pokegamefic.

Merry Christmas, everyone! ♥

i celebrate christmas because it's his birthday )

Title: Under That Blue Sky
Pairing: Riku/Dawn
Summary: At first she doesn't know where the thought comes from, just like she doesn't know where he comes from or why he always wears that thick, dark cloak, even in the height of summer.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon or Kingdom Hearts.
Notes: No idea where this came from, or when I even wrote it. I was just flipping through my notebook one day, looking for stuff I needed to type up, and came across this. I vaguely remember being in the mood for crossovers when I wrote this, but that was about it. Anyways. It's a little weird, but better than it was before I edited it. Besides, it's almost Christmas and then it'll be New Year's, and I have a lot of stuff from this year still lying around. I need to get that stuff posted sometime.

there's no way i could describe him )
[identity profile] kitsuneasika.livejournal.com
Title: Tarnished Sunlight
Pairing: Cyrus/Dawn, some Barry/Dawn, both onesided
Summary: When Dawn's parents divorce, she begins to spend her summers in Sunyshore. Or, alternatively, the one where Cyrus tries to convert Dawn and she's completely oblivious.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon in any shape or form.
Notes: Written for both my Dawn claim at [livejournal.com profile] mission_insane and [livejournal.com profile] pokeprompts's second challenge Summer Skin. Go listen to the song, it's ridiculously pretty. I came up with this idea two days ago, and wrote and edited it all today, so it's very much a last minute thing. If there's any errors, please forgive me and feel free to point them out.

Anyways, this is a slight AU, as Dawn's age has been changed up a bit to fit the plot, as well as some other changes. Also, this follows Diamond/Pearl more then it does Platinum. Just thought that I should give a heads up. I'm not entirely satisfied with the ending, and debated over whether or not I should put that last line in for forever. Therefore, I may rewrite this later, but for now, enjoy!

I knew your heart I couldn't win / we'd left our love in our summer skin )

Title: Bringing Summer Home
Pairing: Barry/Dawn
Summary: Summer begins, and Dawn comes back home.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon in any shape or form.
Notes: Japanese names (Jun and Hikari) are used in this fic. Written for the Pokemon Summer Fic Exchange over at [livejournal.com profile] pokegamefic, and crossposted there. This one was written for [livejournal.com profile] kouriko, with these specifications:

Characters/Pairings: Hibiki and Kotone. Or Jun and Hikari.
Will not read: Anything without a happy ending. Haha. I love fluff~

“For better or worse, our future will be determined in large part by our dreams and by the struggle to make them real.”
I'll be honest, this gave me a lot of trouble. It went through who knows how many incarnations, and the plot of it kept twisting and changing. There even was a version where I slipped in some Gold/Kotone and had Gold and Dawn being bffs! The only thing that remained the same throughout all of the various versions was the bit about them at six (although that used to be its own scene) and the pillow part. I'm still not happy with this, especially with the scene in the middle, and I apologize for that. I'm just glad that [livejournal.com profile] kouriko got a much better fic written for her(?) earlier by someone else. Still, I was glad for the opportunity to write Barry/Dawn, as I really do like the pairing, and it was fun thinking of all the possibilities. Anyways, that's enough rambling. On to the fic!

take me somewhere where love is like breathing )

Title: blue stars
Pairing: Paul/Dawn
Summary: "They're wrong, you know," she said.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
Notes: I wrote these all back in March, partially for [livejournal.com profile] mission_insane and partially for the 10 Song Meme. The longer these languish on my harddrive, the more annoyed I get, which is why I'm posting them all now. All to be cross-posted to [livejournal.com profile] mission_insane and [livejournal.com profile] ikarishipping. Anyways, this particular one was written for "When The Stars Go Blue" by Tim McGraw and the prompt "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it."

where do you go when you're lonely )
Title: good old-fashioned revenge
Pairing: Paul/Dawn
Summary: "I didn't think you were the destructive type," Paul said bluntly.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
Notes: Written for "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood and the prompt Justice. Don't worry, Paul and Dawn don't cheat on each other in this fic, though I did nearly have a heart attack when this song popped up.

next time it won't be on me )
Title: mud-splattered circumstances
Pairing: Paul/Dawn
Summary: "I don't think falling off of that ledge was the smartest thing we've ever done."
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
Notes: This one sucks so much, I swear. Anyways. Written for "Runaway" by Avril Lavigne and this meme is not doing well for my music reputation, is it.

I actually can't remember the lyrics to this song )
Title: waiting (for him)
Pairing: Paul/Dawn
Summary: She was waiting.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
Notes: Written for "Hey Stephen" by Taylor Swift and the prompt Return. There's actually one more of these oneshots, but I just realized that I never finished it, so yeah. Not going to be posted tonight. Or anytime soon.

can't help it if I want to kiss you in the rain )

Title: Vermillion
Characters: Gold, Red
Summary: Gold grows up under the shadow of his older brother— Red. This is his journey.
Wordcount: 500
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon in any shape or form.
Notes: These drabbles were inspired by a fic I read where Red was Gold's brother, and I started wondering about what it would be like, growing up in Red's shadow...and this was the result. This will be a series of drabbles. Each drabble will be exactly 100 words, and there will be five drabbles per update.

Title: untitled
Pairing: Grovyle/Hero
Summary: Something just doesn't feel right.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon or the Mystery Dungeon games.
Notes: Again, some spoilers. I honesty couldn't think of a title for this, and since I really wanted to get the last of the Mystery Dungeon fic I've written posted, I decided to do so without one.

sweet melody, won't you please come back to me )
[identity profile] kitsuneasika.livejournal.com
Title: Blissful Ignorance
Pairing: Grovyle/Hero
Summary: She was always good at that, telling people what she thought in the most neutral way possible.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon or the Mystery Dungeon games.
Notes: Again, there are some spoilers.

won't you please come back to me )
[identity profile] kitsuneasika.livejournal.com
Title: Duty
Character: Dusknoir
Summary: Nothing can prepare someone from a world without beauty for seeing it.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon or the Mystery Dungeon games.
Notes: I like the concept, but not the execution. As always, spoilers for the games.

i want to eat you up )
[identity profile] kitsuneasika.livejournal.com
Title: Reassurances
Pairing(s): Grovyle/Hero, blink-and-you'll-miss-it Dusknoir/Hero
Summary: A brief coversation between Dusknoir and the hero.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon or the Mystery Dungeon games.
Notes: Spoilers, obviously. When I was playing Explorers of the Sky, I couldn't help but think how ironic it is when you talk to Dusknoir before heading to the Northern Desert.

Title: Foreign Familiarity
Pairing: Grovyle/Hero
Summary: There's nothing more he can do for them now.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon, or the Mystery Dungeon games.
Notes: Back on...Valentine's Day, actually, I wrote about four or five things for the Mystery Dungeon games. I figured I should start posting them already. And yes, this is pretty much my OTP for these games. Oh, spoilers if you haven't played past the halfway point of the game, of course.

it's a battle, win or lose )

Title: Always Watching
Pairing: Paul/Dawn
Summary: She would say that she watches him when he isn't looking, but that would be always.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
Notes: Just a little drabble I wrote back on...Valentine's Day, actually. I'm surprised that this is the first drabble I've written for this pairing, considering that I'm usually the queen of drabbles. XD Cross posted to [livejournal.com profile] pokefics, [livejournal.com profile] ikarishipping, and [livejournal.com profile] pokemondrabbles.

Title: Christmas in the Attic
Pairing: Paul/Dawn
Summary: "Admitting that something is pretty isn't going to make you weak, you know." Paul, Dawn, and an attic.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
Notes: I wrote this last December, and meant to post it then. I didn't feel like waiting until next Christmas to do so, so here it is. Cross posted to [livejournal.com profile] pokefics, [livejournal.com profile] ikarishipping, and [livejournal.com profile] mission_insane.

Title: A Lesson In Pride
Pairing: Volkner/Ino
Summary: Upon reaching the Battle Frontier, Dawn and Ino are immediately challenged to a battle.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon or Naruto.
Notes: Ignore the title, I couldn't think of anything else. Anyways. Ino IS from the Naruto world, but she doesn't remember anything about it. I'm not happy with this at all, but I figured that this pairing has such little support that crap is better then nothing. Oh, and all credit for conversion to this pairing goes to [livejournal.com profile] muchenthusiasm, a girl after my own heart.

Based on the scene in Platinum that occurs when you try to go to the Battle Tower.
