Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
Both! I wanted to write a whole lot more, but in this month I wrote a whole lot more then I thought I would. And in October. Which I mostly posted this month but oh well.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2009?
ALL OF THEM. Seriously, these are all things I never saw coming. But I guess the most surprising is La Suite D'Amour du Chat Noir. I mean, it was just a collection of oneshots. I have no idea why I got the urge to write for it.
What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.
Most Fun To Write: Er, either Salt Water or my Weather series. I can't choose. Then again, the Weather series did have me freaking out a lot over characterization, so I guess I'll go with Salt Water. It's not the best thing I've ever written, but the words just flowed. Writing it was an amazing experience.
Favorite To Read: Er, either Truth or... THAT ONESHOT THAT I JUST REALIZED THAT I NEVER POSTED. Shoot. Um. There's always time in the new year?
Greatest Sense Of Accomplishment: Probably the Weather series. Because even though it's just a miniseries, it's the first series of any kind that I've finished.
Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?
I tried to write something creepy for Peter Pan, and scared the pants off of myself. And it's not even that creepy. *facepalm* In fact, it sucked.
Do you have any fanfic or profilic goals for the new year?
YES. PLENTY. In fact, I'll list a few of them.
- Write fifty pieces of fanfiction. Yes, I'm serious. I want to write more fanfiction, and the best way to do it is to set unreasonable goals! *shot*
- Start and finish that piece for the fmabigbang for God's sake!!! <-- High urgency level
- Write a long Paul/Dawn fanfiction. Or Pokemon fanfiction in general. As long as it has Dawn in it. But preferably Paul/Dawn.
